Berkeley Natural History Museums Education and Outreach
CalDay is the one day of the year where visitors can tour the museums, meet the curators, and learn about our collections. The next CalDay will be April 21st, 2007. Visit each of the museum homepages for more information on individual events or visit the Campus CalDay Page for more details.
Displays from the Berkeley Natural History Museums members can be viewed, free of charge, any time the Valley Life Sciences Building is open. Specimens on display include a freestanding mount of Tyrannosaurus rex, living relatives of Cretaceous plants, a showcase for Annie Alexander, and a new series of 6 cases for the Berkeley Natural History Museums on the 3rd floor.
Each of the six Berkeley Natural History Museums list events on the BNHM Online Calendar.
BNHM offers a variety of lecture series, workshops, and exhibitions that are open to the public, including: Botanical Garden public lectures, University and Jepson Herbaria workshops, University of California Museum of Paleontology Short Course, and the Hearst Museum exhibitions. The consortium also offers a Biodiversity Informatics Seminar Series.
